This resource weaves together three transformative approaches to philanthropy as a critical framework to reimagine funding relationships: trust-based practice, decolonial thinking, and feminist principles. It challenges traditional donor–grantee dynamics rooted in hierarchy and control, and calls for practices grounded in mutuality, redistribution, and deep listening. Practical and accessible, the piece outlines key commitments for funders who seek to build equitable and relational grantmaking rooted in justice and care.
